Heal Dermatitis by Cutting Out 10 Food Groups
Avoiding foods that may cause dermatitis may help you alleviate bothersome symptoms of dermatitis aka eczema.
Sensitivities to certain foods, such as dairy, may trigger dermatitis. If you suffer from a severe form of dermatitis, try cutting out any and all dairy products for at least 30 days. After 30 days, reintroduce dairy products into your diet for one week. If symptoms return, than you know that dairy products are the culprit to your problem.
[NOTE: When eliminating or replacing dairy products, be sure to take calcium supplements].
- Peanut butter
If eliminating dairy from your diet for 30 days does not completely alleviate symptoms, than use the same elimination test for the above foods, in the same way as you did for the dairy elimination test. Avoid each food, month-by-month, than reintroduce for one week. So one month and one week, per one food on the list. This may take months to complete, but you have nothing to lose. You may just find the culprit!
If all else fails, as there is no known cure for dermatitis, there are natural alternatives you can try out, covered in the next few pages.
