Hi, my name is Corrine, Im 20 years old and Ive suffered from acne for 7 years. Ive tried almost every product to treat acne that you can buy from a drugstore as well as trying online products such as proactiv. I’m wondering. is it possible that it could be due to a hugehormone imbalance and if so what can I do to change that. Thank you.

Hi Corrine: Hormones are always a strong factor in acne. However, since you’ve had acne since you were 13, it may be genetic. There are so many different factors. Most drug store acne products don’t provide permanent results. I would suggest you visit our YouTube channel. There’s a wealth of information you’re writing about. With over 200 videos you can learn everything you need to know about acne. Here’s the link: http://youtube.com/skincarechannel. If you suspect it’s hormonal, we would suggest you go see a gynecologist and an endocrinologist. They will test your hormones and if anything is off, they will recommend appropriate medications. We suggest gynecologist first, then take a copy of that blood work to an endocrinologist. Wishing you best health!

I am a 14 year old girl and i don’t have acne or anything but I do suffer from zits around my nose, chin, cheek and t zone. Its very embarrassing especially when they get horrible whiteheads on them and I normally end up squeezing it after a few days when it gets really bad. I know I shouldn’t but it is too irritating otherwise. I also suffer from blackheads around and on my nose. Do you know of any home remedies what actually work.
