How to Make a Herbal Steam Bath for the Face
To open and drain the pores, perform this easy face steam recipe, and perform once a week. Take one bag (loose tea is preferred) of yarrow tea (you should be able to find this in your local health food store, or your local Chinese medicine practitioner, or order online), and place in 1 cup of hot water. Steep for 30 minutes. Add this to a basin full of steaming water, lean over the basin for 5 to 8 minutes, holding a towel over your head, which should cover your face and basin (sort of like a hoodie). Your face should be close enough to the steaming water, but FAR ENOUGH (a good foot away) to avoid any burns. This recipe is only appropriate for adults suffering from acne!
Young kids or teenagers should not attempt this without the supervision of a parent.
To prevent acne, do this once a week. If you suffer from acne, you can repeat this process twice a week. Follow the face steam, with a do-it-yourself face masque, which you can easily make at home.
